Warm Up In January!

January is an exciting month, with the return of our INSANITY sauce! We kicked the heat up even more by adding Trinidad Scorpions to the mix of Reapers, Ghosts, Habaneros and Thai Chilis! It will be available at any markets we have in January until it runs out. We have also made a special sauce for the 2020 Hops n Hot Sauce Festival, it's a mix of Ginger, Pears and Ghost peppers that we are calling "Grow A Pear", and think is fantastic in Pho, on Stir Fry and Seafood. "Grow a Pear" is a special commemorative sauce that will only be available at the Hops n Hot Sauce Festival.

We are also doing a recurring Wednesday Weekly Market in Magnolia just behind the AG barn at the high-school. There are lot's of awesome food vendors, such as Stump Farms they carry a wide assortment of beard and body care products as well as fresh eggs and meat. Since that market starts early, you may as well get some coffee from The Whippet Coffee, they also have chocolate spoons, hot cocoa and other treats. If these winter blues have you feeling unwell, visit The Healing Begins, they make fantastic turmeric infused teas and oils as well as elderberry tea that will have back at it in no time! These are just a couple of the fantastic, LOCAL vendors that you can see there, all of them making, growing, or crafting things locally!

On the 18th of January, we will be in Humble, TX at the Nectar Market Days "Chinese New Year Celebration" hosted by Coffee Chicks Events. This event is more craft oriented, but also has some amazing food vendors, local honey, and Nectar a Nitro Cafe is right next door with AMAZING food (to put your hot sauce on) and coffee drinks as well as tea, in an unique and artsy atmosphere.
On the 25th of January we will be returning to one of our favourite markets at Wunderlich Farm Interactive History Park in Klein, TX.  This is a "Don't Miss" monthly market with loads of food vendors as well as plenty of local artisans like: Fred's Custom Leather, Texas Pioneer Creations, Marchese Italian Sausage, Chocolates by Jeanne, Bedias Creek Farms, Mary's Kitchen, Cafe Zun Zun, and Artisan Woodworks of Magnolia. It's also an actual living farm with chickens, horses, goats, pigs and rabbits! There's plenty for the little ones to do as well with feeding stations, games, a chore wheel and sometimes they do cooking demonstrations over open fires with period appropriate crockery.

We may be adding more events and dates, just check us out on our social media pages for more info and a ticket giveaway for the hops and hot sauce event!

Chef Murdok Writes most of our Blog posts and tries to keep up with what markets we are doing. He can often be belligerent, and intolerable, but he can just as often be giving and selfless. His wife Lauren is really the brains behind the operation. His sons Robert and Casey fill his life with joy and frustrations, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
