Soooo.... I've been bad about posting our schedule for upcoming events. To remedy this, I'm posting the markets and events that we have for the remainder of the year as well as the events that we have scheduled for Jan. For the remainder of the year we will have gift packaging available at MOST markets.
Christmas in Crockett on the Square is this coming Saturday (21 November) and will be an all day event, running from 9am to 5pm.
November 28 we will be at Farmers Market on Tamina in Magnolia from 9am to 1pm. We will have our gift packaging as well as a special discount for those who follow social media!
Saturday 5 December we will be at the Lone Star First Saturday market in Montgomery next to the community center from 9am until 2pm.
Sunday 6 December we will be at the Magnolia Farmer and Artisans Market on the corner of FM 1488 and FM 1774, just in front of the Walgreens from 10am to 2pm.
Saturday 12 December we will be at the Caldwell Second Saturday Market from 9am to 4PM.
On 19th and 20th December we will be at the Magnolia Christmas Extravaganza. This is a HUGE event and our last market of the year. It runs from 11am to 4pm and we will have another discount code for those last minute shoppers, so keep an eye on the socials.
We have a pineapple guava and serrano pepper jam that should be available for the Tamina market. We also have the Hellish Holidays sauce.
We are working on something of a "taco sauce" for our January events that I'm calling "Voodoo Child". It will have garlic, red serrano peppers and chile de arbol, I'm REALLY looking forward to trying that one at the Hops 'n Hot Sauce Festival on 9 January from 10am to 6pm.
The final event that I'll mention in The Wunderlich Market in Klein. It is making it's triumphant return on 30 January. We'd really love to see a lot of folks come out and support this market as it is where we started as a cottage business. They've been shut down since March (NEARLY A YEAR) and 10% of our sales for the day will be a donation to help keep the farm going. It really is a wonderful place for the entire family to spend the day. We hope to see y'all there!!!
It's been five months since we've made any updates, and we wanted to let everyone know what's going on with their fave hot sauce company.
We are growing LOADS of peppers, 17 varieties in fact! Many of them will not show up in sauces this year, but many others will! At the end of summer we are coming out with a sauce called "Sexual Chocolate". It's a Mexican Mole inspired sauce with Chocolate Bell Peppers, Chocolate Habanaro Peppers as well as Chocolate Ghost Peppers. I am personally super stoked about this sauce as I am keeping it savory but still adding a bit of organic cocoa powder and organic espresso powder as well. I think it's going to be "Hot AF" and that's why I chose the name.
I've been hoping for the return of "Holy Shishito", but the crop hasn't been doing very well since we had a fuzzy mold issue. Seeing as I found some organic methods to take care of that, I'm hoping for a bumper crop towards the end of summer. It's actually one of the mildest sauces we've ever made, but has a fantastic and unique flavour as it is made with Red Shishito Peppers, Red Bell Peppers and Chinese 5 Spice. I LOVE it on pizza and hoarded the last couple of bottles!
Another big project that we're pushing is our "Hot Sauce For Heroes" program. We've partnered with Operation Lone Star: Texans Supporting Our Troops and Infinity Paper Boutique to send care packages to our men and women overseas. For only $5 you can send a bottle of hot sauce to a deployed solider. Our hope is to send 8 cases of sauce to the troops for Christmas. Once we reach that goal, we will be using the $5 donations to by other items to place in the care packages. If you want to do something to help, reach out to Operation Lone Star at the link above.

Soooo..... we kinda messed up and forgot to do the February events blog post!!! Oops...
March is a very busy month for us, we will be in Austin for the first Annual Witchfest at Jourdan-Bachman Pioneer Farms on Saturday the 7th from 10 am til 5 pm. We've even created a commemorative sauce called "Witches Brew" an herbaceous blend with heat coming from Jalapenos and Black Peppercorns, it's sure to charm your heart and burn your soul!
Wednesdays the 11th and 25th we will be at The Wilderness Campgrounds and Farmers Market from 10am till 2pm. This market has loads of vendors and plenty of fresh hot food for your lunching needs.
Saturday 14th March, we will be at Eleanora's Market in the Heights area of Houston, it will be our first time back in nearly a year! This community market runs from 9 am til 1pm. We look forward to returning and seeing the familiar faces as well as some new ones!
Bernhardt Winery will be having their Texas Bluebonnet Wine and Cheese Trail Event on the 21st from noon til 6pm. Live music, great wine, food trucks and some amazing vendors make this a "don't miss" event!
On the 22nd we will be at the Legends Ranch Farmers Market in Spring from 11am til 3pm. This is a newer market, but don't let that fool you! This market was organized by one of the residents who also happens to be a vendor and outstanding baker. Fresh boiled crawfish, hot sauce and a lot more going down at this event. Just because it's in a gated community doesn't mean you can't come if you don't live there, just tell the gate guards what you're there for and they'll let you right on in!
If we didn't get to your area this month, just wait for April! We have another commemorative sauce coming and 2 big festivals! So come out to one of these events and #GetSauced with us!!!!!!!!!!
January is an exciting month, with the return of our INSANITY sauce! We kicked the heat up even more by adding Trinidad Scorpions to the mix of Reapers, Ghosts, Habaneros and Thai Chilis! It will be available at any markets we have in January until it runs out. We have also made a special sauce for the 2020 Hops n Hot Sauce Festival, it's a mix of Ginger, Pears and Ghost peppers that we are calling "Grow A Pear", and think is fantastic in Pho, on Stir Fry and Seafood. "Grow a Pear" is a special commemorative sauce that will only be available at the Hops n Hot Sauce Festival.
We are also doing a recurring Wednesday Weekly Market in Magnolia just behind the AG barn at the high-school. There are lot's of awesome food vendors, such as Stump Farms they carry a wide assortment of beard and body care products as well as fresh eggs and meat. Since that market starts early, you may as well get some coffee from The Whippet Coffee, they also have chocolate spoons, hot cocoa and other treats. If these winter blues have you feeling unwell, visit The Healing Begins, they make fantastic turmeric infused teas and oils as well as elderberry tea that will have back at it in no time! These are just a couple of the fantastic, LOCAL vendors that you can see there, all of them making, growing, or crafting things locally!
On the 18th of January, we will be in Humble, TX at the Nectar Market Days "Chinese New Year Celebration" hosted by Coffee Chicks Events. This event is more craft oriented, but also has some amazing food vendors, local honey, and Nectar a Nitro Cafe is right next door with AMAZING food (to put your hot sauce on) and coffee drinks as well as tea, in an unique and artsy atmosphere.
On the 25th of January we will be returning to one of our favourite markets at Wunderlich Farm Interactive History Park in Klein, TX. This is a "Don't Miss" monthly market with loads of food vendors as well as plenty of local artisans like: Fred's Custom Leather, Texas Pioneer Creations, Marchese Italian Sausage, Chocolates by Jeanne, Bedias Creek Farms, Mary's Kitchen, Cafe Zun Zun, and Artisan Woodworks of Magnolia. It's also an actual living farm with chickens, horses, goats, pigs and rabbits! There's plenty for the little ones to do as well with feeding stations, games, a chore wheel and sometimes they do cooking demonstrations over open fires with period appropriate crockery.
We may be adding more events and dates, just check us out on our social media pages for more info and a ticket giveaway for the hops and hot sauce event!

Chef Murdok Writes most of our Blog posts and tries to keep up with what markets we are doing. He can often be belligerent, and intolerable, but he can just as often be giving and selfless. His wife Lauren is really the brains behind the operation. His sons Robert and Casey fill his life with joy and frustrations, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
